From our first consultation call, Gavin's easygoing yet professional manner made our apartment search simple and enjoyable. Because VP deals only with expats, Gavin quickly understood our needs and gave us sound guidance, often pointing out important points (negative and positive) of an apartment that we might have overlooked. He was patient and generous with his time, which we appreciated as I wanted to see a wide variety of apartments before making a decision. The purchase process was simple thanks to Gavin taking the time to clearly explain everything and walk us through the process. It's also been super helpful that VP has sister agencies--we are using both their renovation service and Stepping Stone Rentals, and everyone has been professional, kind, and knowledgeable, making buying and renovating an apartment from afar as easy--and fun--as possible!

Moving to another country by yourself and trying to buy property there can be really overwhelming, so I knew when I decided to make the move to Valencia, Spain, I’d need help. My wife and I wanted to retire in Spain, but expected it to be a daunting task. Our Spanish isn’t great, and we didn’t know any of the rules. We’ve often heard stories about not being able to do one thing without the other thing, and not being able to get the other thing without the thing. You get the idea. Then she found Valencia Property on Facebook and said, "This guy Graham is really funny in his posts. He seems very knowledgeable… I think we should meet him and see if he can help us". We met Graham and David during a scouting trip and felt right at home with them. They shared stories of others in our situation and helped us understand the process and how they could help us. Fast-forward several months, we arrived in Spain to start looking for a place to buy. We shared listings with David and he arranged viewings if a variety of places in different locations around the city. By the end of the first week, with his help, we made in offer! Also in that first week, he introduced us to a lawyer that helped us get our NIE. Then he walked us over to the bank where he introduced us to a banker that helped us get bank accounts. At the end of that month, we headed back to the US with the keys and deed on our apartment in Russafa, and both David and Graham were there every step of the way. To say this was white glove service almost doesn’t do it justice. As weve started to settle in, David has been an absolute godsend and constant resource, helping us set up our utilities and join our buildings home owners association. He’s helped us work through a snag list of items, pushing the seller to address issues from the renovation done before we purchased. He even enlisted his brother-in-law to help us trim shelves for our kitchen cabinets. I can’t say enough about this company and the service (read friendship) they extend. They even introduced us to other expats that we now consider close friends. We would have had a hard time getting this far without them and I can’t recommend them high enough.
